Electrical Standards Repair Service, Inc. was formed and incorporated in the state of California, in 1963 to fill the need for a quality commercial test and measurement service.

Over the 60 years that ESRS has been serving the customers, by taking great pride in having maintained the highest levels of quality and personalized service. The Corporation is a member of NCSL (the National Council of Standards Laboratories).

ESRS personnel are the best in their respective fields, and they meet the highest qualifications in training and ability. They have been factory trained by the companies, for which we provide authorized service. They have collectively 105 years of experience is design, repair, and modification of high end equipment.

ESRS personnel have also completed numerous seminars and technical training courses sponsored by many of the major instrument manufacturers, as well as NCSL and NIST (the National Institute of Science and Technology).

ESRS maintains state of the art primary standards, which are directly traceable to NIST in Washington, D.C., Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Boulder, Colorado, for all of our capabilities.

ESRS has been an active participant in the MAP (Measurement Assurance Program) since its inception in 1969. Autonetics, Beckman, ESRS, Lockheed, and TRW comprised the first MAP group in 1969. Round robin experiments in measuring the volt with the National Bureau of Standards (now NIST) were done utilizing the Guild line 9155 standard cell bank and continue today with the Fluke 732A Reference Standard. Such is the heritage and pedigree of the ESRS.

Various branches of the Armed Forces and the Department of Defense and NASA (the National Aeronautics and Space Administration) have surveyed ESRS through their local prime contractors. ESRS has also been surveyed by other industrial companies with similar success. In all instances ESRS facilities have been accepted and highly rated.

All repairs are performed per manufacturer's specifications and procedures, and only manufacturers supplied or approved replacement parts are used. Calibrations are performed per manufacturer's procedures and adhere to recommended procedures of NIST in line with ISO 17025 requirements.

ESRS guarantees all workmanship performed on instruments serviced and/or calibrated by ESRS personnel. All materials used in the repair of instruments are guaranteed to the extent of the actual material manufacturer's guarantee.

A computerized history file is maintained for each piece of equipment serviced as well as complete hardcopy documentation of all service and calibration parameters.

ESRS offers a monthly equipment calibration recall service as a courtesy to our customers and can also provide elaborate custom reporting capabilities when required. They also provide complete repair and calibration services for other manufacturers’ instruments from DC through RF. (Examples: scopes, counters, digital voltmeters, multimeters, signal generators, synthesizers, synchro/resolvers, phase angle voltmeters, angle position indicators, AC/DC calibrators, power supplies, meters, standards, dividers, etc.) The company maintains State of the Art High Voltage measurement capabilities up to 160KV DC and 120KV AC.

ESRS carries insurance for the protection of customer's equipment while in our possession and under our responsibility.

Pick-up and delivery service is available on a scheduled basis free of charge within the Los Angeles area.

ESRS is a small business as defined by Federal Regulations. We comply with ANSI / NCSL- Z540-1-1994 (R2002) Standards, as well as the MIL-STD 45662A requirements.
